The Nelson Trestle Bench
-
The Nelson bench has a 17.5 to 18 inch seat height and is 14 to 15 inches across. We build it about 16 inches shorter than your tabletop, in the same wood and finish as your table and chairs. The trestle base tucks completely under the table when nobody's sitting there.
-
This style is named after Gaylord Nelson, the Wisconsin governor and U.S. senator who started Earth Day, and it's made to go with the Nelson X-base trestle table.
-
The finish can be natural, stained, or painted to match your table.

We use a premium Italian LED hardwax oil that instantly cures when we shine a special UV light over it. This plant-based finish can be spot repaired, so scratches are not a major concern. Read more about our finish here.
